how wonderful that there are at least a few pictures left of a once beautiful home. When I moved to Stone Island there were still people living on the property. Now we lost another treasure in this case to arson other architectural treasures were unfortunately lost to political and commercial gains. Can not wait until the book is out.

I can still remember leaning against the post the day this photo was taken. We had many great childhood experiences growing up on Thornby! Thank you, Sandy, for writing this book and sharing all that was done to preserve Thornby.

Thank you for taking on this fight! A bit of Florida History (as well as my family history) preserved. Oh, how I'd love to have another cookie baked by Miss Doris herself. Looking forward to reading the finished product and hearing feedback from my dad and his siblings. My Aunt is Carolyn Langley and my dad is her brother Ernie.
